Work/Life Balance

The challenge of work-life balance is one of the most significant struggles faced by working men and women.

These are the tips I have collected from the class
1) take responsibility for, and become the creative force of, our lives;
2) decide what's most important in our whole lives--developing a vision and deep commitment to the "first things" of life and;
3) to then put those first things first and organize our lives around our priorities. For something that seems so self-evident to most people, it’s remarkable how many of us struggle to translate our intellectual awareness into day-to-day practice and decision-making.

Last but not the least, find a hobby or interest that you enjoy.

Avenue Event

I really enjoy the Avenue event, I thought it was really helpful. This Mock Interview is one of the very best ways to prepare for an actual employment interview.  It also help me to learn what is expected in a real interview, and how I can improve the way I present myself.  I got a really good feedback on all aspects of the interview process. Things my interviews have told me and I thought they were really helpful are:

- be confident
- not afraid to show what you have done, ex: sketch works, working board. ( Employers want to see your process works, especially if you are new graduates)
Make sure you are selling the product: You.
